The Friendly Ride- A Group Bike RideTour of the MidCityWest Bicycle Friendly Streets Proposal

Sunday 10am

The New Urbanism Film Festival is held in the Mid City West neighborhood of Los Angeles. Which is also home to The GROVE, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The La Brea Tar Pits, Melrose Avenue Shopping District, The Peterson Automotive Museum, The Architecture + Design Museum, the Craft & Folk Art Museum, and the Pacific Design Center.

The Mid City West Community Council was the first neighborhood council to develop their own proposal for Bicycle Friendly Streets and submit it to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.

Join leaders of the MidCityWest Transportation Committee on a group bike ride tour.  The tour will showcase the routes they’ve highlighted to be designated Bicycle Friendly Streets, the changes they’ve proposed, and the progress that has been made towards creating a safer neighborhood for pedestrians, bicycles, and cars.

This is event is FREE and hosted by members of the MidCityWest Transportation, Parking & Streetscape Committee Scott Epstein and Taylor Nichols.
