One of the great things about hosting the New Urbanism Film Festival in Los Angeles is that bridges the world of architecture and design with the world of Hollywood.
We are grateful to have two celebrities, one from each of these circles, joining us to help make the festival great. They heard about our Kickstarter campaign and wanted to participate, eager to help the New Urbanism Film Festival usher in a second year.
First, Dean Haglund, who most likely recognize from the nine years he was on The X-Files. He’s become famous for his role as Langley, one of the lone gunmen. However Haglund is also a hilarious comedian and has travelled the world performing a variety of shows. He’s seen a lot of cities and knows what it takes to make a good one. Currently he lives and works in Downtown Los Angeles. He’s a big booster of the revitalization of DTLA. He’s also a historian of the area and knows a lot of exciting stories of silent film era and vaudeville history.
Haglund has offered to lead a walking tour of Downtown Los Angeles during the festival. The tour will focus on vaudeville history and silent film movie locations.
